Woolford in the Wickets

James Woolford returned his best bowling figures since taking up bowling in the winter with a tremendous return of 5 for 32. Recovering from a horrendous hangover following his 13 pints the day before Woolford struggled early on but once he had sweated out a few stellas he was at his celestial best mixing pace with slower leg spinners in a similar way that he had mixed lager and whisky the previous evening. Indeed Waltham were well organised in the field skippered by the inventive Chris Burge and in spite of 3 dropped catches by Connor and a surprise stunning catch from Kiani who had decided against wearing his lovely pink half length trousers from Saturday, Waltham restricted Binfield to just under 200 with Philp picking up 2 wickets in consecutive balls.
On the batting front Waltham looked solid up front with Connor and Kiani opening up well until both fell when they had just got their eye in. Raj then came in a played a gem of an innings. With his wristy strokeplay and powerful hitting he had Binfield in trouble especially with Atkins at the other end but as his knock came to an end for a well made 45 the innings disintegrated as Waltham were bowled out for a poor 128. Fans are reminded to check the
duck gallery to find out the new additions this week to the gallery of shame.
